CAFS welcomes local and international students and graduates to apply for our internship programmes that currently consist of both theoretical and practical knowledge as well as skill building over a period of three months, which can be extended upon request.
Caring for the mental health needs of children, adolescents, adults and their families encompasses a number of different aspects and we believe one important factor that ensures the long term continuity of care is to build a well-equipped future mental health workforce that can support more individuals around the country.
CAFS acts as a springboard that provides guidance and support to future psychologists, who are nurtured and trained to deliver effective mental health care to the community. It is equally important to us that our future psychologists are able to develop their confidence, independence, expand their creative thinking, and take innovative approaches to improve mental health in the community.
In this vein, we strongly encourage our trainees to come up with their own ideas and projects that could contribute toward the betterment of mental health in different populations. We provide the necessary assistance and direction for them to implement these. We believe it is important to provide a safe and nurturing environment where these individuals have the opportunity to thrive and realise their potential.
